"My dear friend, Ellen Petersen, shared with me her vision to create a sanctuary for people seeking refuge or rest from the stress of their day-to-day lives, and a place to heal and/or receive healing treatments. The vision is now a reality at The Abbey. Ellen has exceeded all expectations. The location is very private and has a beautiful view of Salem Harbor. It’s nice just to sit outside and enjoy a cup of tea and relax, surrounded by the beautiful garden and trees.
The Abbey is appointed in what I would call essential luxury. The integrity of the antique house is intact, but the carefully selected appointments are first-class and perfectly integrated into the setting. I entered the first floor and slipped off my shoes. Comfort and relaxation were my immediate and lasting impressions. The soft bubbling from the water fountain added to the serenity. The master bedroom upstairs is beautiful and full of natural light. I felt surrounded by peace and contentment during my entire stay. I will be back."
